Teeth of the Dog Golf Course ranks as one of the best

Golf Magazine” has recognized in its last edition that the “Teeth of the Dog” golf course, situated in Casa de Campo – one of the Caribbean’s best known tourism resorts – is one of the 50 best courses built in the past 50 years.

The “Diente de Perro” (Teeth of the Dog) golf course was built in 1972 and designed by Pete Dye. Today, it is ranked amongst the top 100 golf courses in the world, and is the only Caribbean golf course listed in the list published by “Golf Magazine”. It is also the first for the Latin America listing, placed high above the “Cabo del Sol” golf course in Mexico, which ranks number 95 on the list.

At the same time, in October 2009 “Golf Digest” magazine places “Diente de Perro” amongst the 75 best golf resorts in North America. Important international figures
such as former U.S. presidents George Bush and Bill Clinton, as well as the famous
international golf champion Fred Couples have played on this seaside golf course.
In addition to “Diente de Perro”, Casa de Campo offers “Dye Fore”, “The Links”, and the Romana Country Club, which now features nine additional holes known as the “The New Nine.”
